This Comeback Will Choke You Up

Guess who’s back, back again? The 90s are, that’s who! You may have recently started having déjà vu, seeing your wardrobe from a decade ago everywhere you look, and you’re not hallucinating! While many may have mixed feelings about this 90s style resurgence, it is definitely back and center stage.

We’re seeing mom jeans, mini denim skirts, round glasses, jelly sandals, skater dresses, and platform shoes coming back onto the scene — not to mention the hair and makeup looks that are also making a comeback. One of my favorite blasts from the past is the return of the choker, especially now that they’ve got some serious upgrades this time around! While you’ll still see the stretchy plastic variety that you could get from a toy capsule machine (am I aging myself here?), you’ll also see some mixed material chokers or sets.

Chokers add a sense of edge to a look and can be dressed up or down depending on the piece and what you’ve paired it with. Throw on anything from a simple tee or a blouse, and embellish with a choker of your choosing! I’ve pulled 18 of my favorite chokers ranging from your classic black strand to mixed material chokers.   6. What a great post! I swore off 99.9% of all 90’s trends, and yes, I find myself wearing about 85% of those I swore I would never repeat, lol. But the choker trend is one I loved then and now, and I adore your picks… and the title of your post is pretty darn witty ;-)! #love
