Spring is here, though the east coast seems to be late to the memo! As I not-so-patiently wait (and jet to warmer climates), I’ve begun preparing my spring wardrobe with some transitional pieces that can handle these seasonal swings.

Today I’m showing how one statement coat can have you prepped for spring while keeping you warm for those dips in temperature. This jacket is one of my favorite pieces for spring; I love its color, base line, sleeve trimmings, and fit. It also feels as though it tells its own story, as it was hand-made in India.

To get a more weather-appropriate look, I grabbed my go-to dark denim jeans, a silky tank and a pair of booties. Depending on the climate outside, you could also opt for a ¾-length sleeve top or bodysuit.

I kept the rest of my outfit and accessories neutral and understated so as not to distract from my coat. My crossbody bag perfectly brought out the burgundy hues in the jacket (a style tip you’ll notice I often utilize). As my choker obsession continues to grow, this gold one fit seamlessly with my look. And lastly, I never leave home without a pair of shades.😎
