Hack Your Way to Happy Hour

Dressing for work can be challenging enough; having another event on the calendar after a long day only adds to the daily struggle of “I have nothing to wear.” (Go ahead and give this post a like, if ya feel me!)

Living in NYC or any commuter city eliminates the ability to throw clothes and shoes into the trunk of a car for an outfit swap after work. Instead, you’re pretty much stuck with what you put on that morning. So, shop pieces that can easily take you from that 9-to-5 to a spontaneous happy hour with friends!

Allow me to share one way to master the post-work transition with one easy hack! For this look, I wore a simple button-down, a white lace skirt, a statement necklace and cork splatter painted heels. Keeping the shirt tucked in during the day kept my look professional for business meetings, drawing attention to my accent pieces: necklace, shoes and bag. To transition for post-work affairs, I ditched the necklace and made my tailored button-down fun and flirty by tying the ends into a bow. This simple hack transformed my look without requiring me to tote additional clothing to work.
