There are times when accessories make the statement for an outfit, and there are times when the clothing stands out all on its own. Today’s look defines the latter. I wore a dress as the focal point and kept all accompanying pieces subtle. This dress captured my attention with its stunning design and beautiful colors.

I complemented the dress with all-black accessories that were understated but chic, keeping the focus on the dress. Well, with one exception: my sunglasses, which were still low-key and played well with the reds in the dress.

Now, before you starting thinking that you can’t pull off a bold statement piece like this one…Just stop right there! Don’t let self doubt stop you from trying something new. Take a chance, and before you know it, you’ll have someone else thinking the same thing you originally did too. It’s all mental! Trust me, I’ve been there. 🙂
